(Below are pictures of a real tree that inspired the painting, located on the SouthWest corner of Foothill and the I-15 freeway in the Etiwanda area of Southern California. It looked to Ruth, like there was a real outstanding figure shape in the tree, with 2 evident leg shapes and waistline, that was leaning against something. Her illustration formed the rest. Others still see differently.)
